dc.description.abstractSocio-demographic characteristics of the study participants Between February 2022 and April 2022, a total of 220 pregnant women living with HIV in the Mtwara region were enrolled. The study participants' median age was 32.7 years (IQR 27.6–37.6). The majority, 34.1% (75/220) and 71.4% (157/220) of the participants were from Mkomaindo hospital and attained only a primary school level of education, respectively. 47.7% (105/220) were unemployed, 51.8% (114/220) were living in urban areas, and 45.5% (100/220) were married.vi
