Between 2011 and 2014 a joint FAO and FIG Project undertaken by Working Group 2 of Commission 7 developed e-learning training material on addressing land issues in Disaster Risk Management for land professionals. This involved two face-to-face training sessions in Fiji and the Caribbean, several papers were commissioned on specific aspects of land administration and Disaster Risk Management leading to a thematic edition of the Land Tenure Journal, regional case studies were developed, and many papers on the topic were presented at FIG Conferences.
