Thesis gives the status of the water quality in reference to the physicochemical parameters, nutrients, and the main ions in Lake Naivasha; assesses the eutrophication status in Lake Naivasha; gives a retrospective spatio-temporal analysis of the status of the water quality; Hydrodynamic and water quality models are presented; A description of the way the models were set up is provided; Lake Naivasha provides information on the main fish species in the commercial fisheries in Lake Naivasha; summarizes the major conclusions and gives recommendations.
