Abstract: Serum creatinine, urea, indoxyl sulphate, CRP and renal fibrosis index As seen in Table 1: CKD group showed significant elevation of serum urea, creatinine indoxyl sulphate and CRP. Upon treatment by probiotic, the level of serum urea, creatinine and CRP significantly decreased compared to CKD group but they were still significantly higher than the levels obtained in the control group. Level of indoxyl sulphate was non-significantly changed after probiotic treatment. All parameters were non-significantly changed in late treated group than in early treated group.
